New Format
So I've never been that much of a talker. I'm a pretty quite guy. So when I write blog posts, I always feel like I'm forcing it too much. So I've decided to go to a much simpler format to my blog. From now on, when I post a new video, I'm going to let the video speak for it's self. No more mumbo jumbo! Just video bliss! I may add a little description here and there. So here it goes!

Where's the time gone?

Plus work has been insane! We designed a new graphics package for the TV station I work at, ABC30. I created all the news opens and animations. Here's a sample:
I've been working on those since the summer and its great to finally see it on air. I've been told it's Emmy worthy...we'll see!
I also did a promo video for my buddy Scott Andrew and I'll be sharing that soon. Stay tuned!

Weddings, TV, Babies and more!
What a crazy month it's been! From my son being born, shooting a wedding, getting sick, and now helping out at the ABC30 booth at the Big Fresno Fair!
To start out I thought I would share some recent images my good friend Scott Andrew took of our little guy, Jack. They came out sooooooo good!

As some of you may know, I'm the Promotion Specialist for ABC30 in Fresno, CA, so I deal with a lot of the promotional and marketing aspects of the TV station. One of the things I help out with is volunteering at the ABC30 Event Center at the Fresno Fair, that's happening right now! Check out my cameo on the 5pm News last night (10/6/2010)
I want to leave you guys with a new promo I just finished on Tuesday of an amazing story where a little girl was kidnapped and then found the next day by a man who saw the kidnapper's truck on the news. Pretty amazing stuff! Enjoy!

Kristin | Jason Wolf Lakes Wedding Teaser
If you're getting married in Central California, look up Wolf Lakes in Sanger, CA. That place is amazing! And I can prove that by Kristin and Jason's wedding teaser below. Kristin and Jason are so awesome! They booked me a year before their wedding on September 4th, 2010 and I didn't meet Kristin and her boys till a few months before their big day, but when I did, I felt like I've known them for much longer than that! They are so down to earth and accommodating, they even invited me to their rehearsal dinner to enjoy with them.
I couldn't wait to start editing their footage! The light at Wolf Lakes was out of this world and so was the sunset! I had the privilege again to shoot along my friends the Staffords, one of the best photography teams in the valley. Enough talk, enjoy the teaser below!

Well hello there.
It's been too long! I have been so busy it would make your head spin! I just finished Jorge and Zenaida's wedding film and I just put in the order for their custom design DVDs, they're looking sweet! Next up is Kristin and Jason on September 4th. They're getting married at Wolf Lakes in Sanger, CA. I hear this place is amazing and I can't wait to shoot their wedding with my new toys and work with the awesome Staffords. They're amazing photographers! I worked with them last year at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite for Brady and Nithya's wedding.
As some of you may know, I work full time as a Promotion Specialist for ABC30/KFSN-TV in Fresno, CA. It takes A LOT of my time, but I love it. It's really hard to say that you love your job and you don't dread going to work every day. But I can say that. I'm blessed that I get to work with some of the most talented people in broadcasting and work for a company (Disney) that is leading in technology and creativity. With that said, I have decided to dramatically scale back Infinite Design's work load. It was a really hard decision. I love doing weddings, I love the creative freedom that my couples give me and it's been a great ride!
The whole reason I started Infinite Design was to get out of the "corporate creativity box". I was a graphic designer, but a cinematographer at heart. I needed more and didn't want to be stuck behind the desk. Now that I'm working for ABC30, I get to stretch my creativity more than I have before. And because of that, it takes more of my time. Not to mention I'm going to be a dad like at any minute. Seriously, I could get a call today from my wife saying "Come home NOW!!! I'm in labor!" And with my faith, my family, ABC30 and Infinite Design, there's not enough of me to go around and something has to be cut. And it has to be Infinite Design.
That doesn't mean I'm completely shutting down my business. The site will still be up and so will the blog. Where else am I going to post baby pictures and videos galore? ;) And I'll still do weddings and promo video. But only 1 MAYBE 2 a year.
I have some pretty cool things coming down the pipeline pretty soon: Kristin and Jason's wedding, a new Scott Andrew promo, and some really cool projects for ABC30. I'll try to update the blog as much as time allows and I'm sure there will be baby post in the very near future :)
Today I will leave you with a brand spank'n new promo I did for ABC30 that was a huge hit for the station. Enjoy.

Au Cooks | Canon T2i
I shot this right when I got my new camera but finally got around to editing it. This is more of just a test video and to get familiar with the workflow. I love this camera!
Oh and by the way, my wife makes THE BEST mashed potatoes. True story.
AND she's 7 months beautifully pregnant with our son Jack!

Bass Lake
So I'm waiting for a piece of equipment for my new camera so I can do proper video with it. Until then, I've been taking photos. I LOVE the 50mm lens and the shallow depth of field it creates! Here are some photos I took at a friends High School graduation party at Bass Lake in California. Enjoy!
Oh...and don't worry, I'm not abandoning videography for photography! Just making use of an amazing stills camera :)

New Camera!
So I was able to sell my old clunker of a camera and dive into DSLR filmmaking! I bought the Canon T2i and this thing is a beast! Coupled with some lenses, you get a look very similar to 35mm motion picture film.

Yesterday evening, my wife and I took a nice little walk around our neighborhood in Coarsegold, CA and I brought my camera along. I didn't take any video but I took plenty of stills! Here's a sample, enjoy!
P.S. - All images were taken with the Canon T2i & the 50mm 1.8 lens. Then the images were processed in Adobe Lightroom 3.

Baby Jack!

Jorge | Zenaida Wedding Teaser || Oakhurst Wedding Videography
A few weeks ago I was given the privilege to shoot Jorge and Zenaida's wedding in my own backyard of Oakhurst, CA at the amazing Erna's Elderberry House. If you want high class in the Sierra Nevada's...this place is it! It's known that many celebrities come here for weddings, dinner or to just get away. Chris Kattan from SNL got married here not too long ago.

Jorge and Zenaida had an awesome, intimate wedding with they're close friends and family and Erna's cater's to that type of wedding really well. Here's the list of vendors who made it happen:

Nathan & Andria Wedding Teaser | Central Coast Wedding Videography
Last year I had the great privilege to shoot my best friend, Nathan's wedding. Nathan and I use to play in a band together, he was the vocals and I played guitar. Good times! I should post some video of us at one of our gigs, but I'm pretty sure Nathan will kill me!
The location was amazing! Nathan's wife, Andria, knew some people with a house right on a cliff looking over the ocean. It was seriously breath taking! All the details were great and Andria made all the flower arrangements (she has some mad talent!) Oh, and Nathan's brother, Ben, made home-made beer that was soooooooooo good!
It was very small wedding, with only close friends and family and I felt honored to be able to share their day with them!
Nathan and Andria, I hope you love this preview of your wedding! Enjoy! (oh and leave some love in the comments!)

Promotion Specialist - What the heck is that?
So a lot of people often ask me what I do for work and I tell them that I'm a Promotion Specialist for ABC30 in Fresno, CA. Then they kind of tilt their head in a kind of "wha..?" way. The simple explanation is that I shoot and edit commercials for the station. But when people think of "commercials" they think of the normal, annoying commercials that advertise your local plumber. So not the case with what I do!
My department is solely focused on "station image". Station image is simply making the TV station look good! Anything that has to do with promoting the station or any type of graphics that are on the screen, we create. It's a lot of work and often isn't something you think of when you watch the news or anything that promotes the station but without it, no one would know what the TV station was doing.
I love what I do and I love the challenges that I'm faced with everyday. I get to use equipment and software that I normally wouldn't be able to get a hold of, so I'm learning everyday!
Below is an example of what I do everyday. Enjoy!

Moving, Careers, and...Babies?
In June of last year (2009) I got a new job at KION46/FOX35 in Salinas, CA and we moved to the neighboring town of Pacific Grove. I was a Promotion Producer, I created commercials for the station image (I made them look good!) and other Public Service Announcements (also called PSAs). We were only there for 6 months. Some things came up and we realized that we needed to be closer to family back in the Fresno area. I was fortunate to be hired by the number one TV station in the Valley, KFSN-TV ABC3
0. I interned there when I graduated high school and have been keeping in touch with the guys I worked with. I'm still a Promotion Producer...but my official title is Promotion Specialist. Pretty slick huh?
So while moving across California and starting a new
job, I have been working on weddings that I shot back in 2009. My backlog was starting to clear up and Au (my wife) and I were ready for things to settle down. But, we had a big surprise, one that we're super excited about!

...Our son, Jack. Less than a month after we moved back to the Fresno area, we found out we were pregnant! We kept it quite (except for family and close friends) for 3 months just to be safe and that was the hardest thing to do! A couple weeks ago we found out that we're going to be having a boy and just the other night (monday night) I felt him move for the first time! I can't describe awesome it is to feel your unborn son move inside your wife. And it was while we were reading to him! Still leaves me speechless....
It was pretty crazy, after we found out we were having a baby, a fellow wedding vendor and amazing photographer Bobby Earle (check out his blog! Awesome images and a great read!) found out that him and his wife are also having a baby! Not to mention a lot of our friends are also having baby boys at the same time as us! Must be something in the water...
This year is not slowing down one bit, with moving, a new job, a baby, and weddings coming up! Our first wedding of the year is on May 1st at the amazing Elderberry House in Oakhurst, CA. Totally looking forward to that one!
And now I'm going to try to do something new....being regular on the blog! Let's see how long this lasts....haha!
And now I'm going to leave you with a promo I created for KION in Salinas. Enjoy!

Niki & Kyle | Fresno Wedding Cinematography
Yes. I'm still alive. Wow, it's been so crazy these past few months with some HUGE things coming. More on that soon!
Back in November, I had the awesome privilege of filming Niki and Kyle's wedding in Fresno, Ca. It was my first Serbian Orthodox wedding and it was totally a party all day! The day started out with Kyle's family coming to barter for Niki's hand in marriage. After going back and forth, Niki's family decided to let Kyle's family in for some more discussion. Once they agreed on the "price" they made their way to the ceremony. After that we witnessed one of the largest after ceremony celebrations! Everyone went outside the church and danced! And I mean EVERYONE! Oh and there were guns...and a goat!
My good friend Ryan Jones was their photographer and caught some awesome shots of the day. You can check them out here.
I just want to thank Niki and Kyle for letting us join them and choosing us to capture their day! Its one that I will always remember!
Ok enough rambling! Here's the teaser and enjoy!

Orbie Pullen Promotional Video | Central Coast Wedding Cinematography
Yes it's true. I still blog. The past few months have been absolutely CRAZY! But more on that to come and some very exciting news...stay tuned!
I met Orbie through my good photographer buddy Scott Andrew last year. When I was shooting Marti & Nathan's wedding up in Los Gatos at Nestldown. We met the night before for dinner to talk shop and doing a promo video for him. About 6 months later, we got together at his studio and busted out this pretty cool promo video! Orbie is a great guy to work with and is really down to earth. I definitely recommend him if you're getting married on the Central Coast! Check out his newly redesigned website at www.orbiepullen.com and enjoy the film below!

Sara & Scott Teaser - Stockton Wedding Videography
Another film that has been a long time coming! The wedding of Sara and Scott happened on a perfect day in Stockton. It was sunny and warm and there is just something about smaller, more intimate weddings, that made this day even better! Not to mention I got to work with my buddy Scott Andrew, who was manning the still camera! You can check out Scott's coverage of the day here. I'm pretty sure we both brought the awesome! Sara and Scott did for sure! Check it out and enjoy!
