It's been too long! I have been so busy it would make your head spin! I just finished Jorge and Zenaida's wedding film and I just put in the order for their custom design DVDs, they're looking sweet! Next up is Kristin and Jason on September 4th. They're getting married at Wolf Lakes in Sanger, CA. I hear this place is amazing and I can't wait to shoot their wedding with my new toys and work with the awesome Staffords. They're amazing photographers! I worked with them last year at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite for Brady and Nithya's wedding.
As some of you may know, I work full time as a Promotion Specialist for ABC30/KFSN-TV in Fresno, CA. It takes A LOT of my time, but I love it. It's really hard to say that you love your job and you don't dread going to work every day. But I can say that. I'm blessed that I get to work with some of the most talented people in broadcasting and work for a company (Disney) that is leading in technology and creativity. With that said, I have decided to dramatically scale back Infinite Design's work load. It was a really hard decision. I love doing weddings, I love the creative freedom that my couples give me and it's been a great ride!
The whole reason I started Infinite Design was to get out of the "corporate creativity box". I was a graphic designer, but a cinematographer at heart. I needed more and didn't want to be stuck behind the desk. Now that I'm working for ABC30, I get to stretch my creativity more than I have before. And because of that, it takes more of my time. Not to mention I'm going to be a dad like at any minute. Seriously, I could get a call today from my wife saying "Come home NOW!!! I'm in labor!" And with my faith, my family, ABC30 and Infinite Design, there's not enough of me to go around and something has to be cut. And it has to be Infinite Design.
That doesn't mean I'm completely shutting down my business. The site will still be up and so will the blog. Where else am I going to post baby pictures and videos galore? ;) And I'll still do weddings and promo video. But only 1 MAYBE 2 a year.
I have some pretty cool things coming down the pipeline pretty soon: Kristin and Jason's wedding, a new Scott Andrew promo, and some really cool projects for ABC30. I'll try to update the blog as much as time allows and I'm sure there will be baby post in the very near future :)
